HISTORY
Name of the School: The name of the School shall be “ ST.PETER’S MAR THOMA SCHOOL,BHOPAL”
Location of the School : The School is at present located in the space provided by Mar Thoma Christian
Society on behalf of St.Peter’s Mar Thoma Church, Bhopal to run the School.
Ownership: Ownership of the School shall vest with the St.Peter’s Mar Thomas Church.
St. Peter’s mar Thoma School was started during 1997 -98 while Rev. Thomas George was our Vicar of
the St.Peter’s Mar Thoma Church. The school was started at the direct control of the Diocese Episcopa
Rt. Rev. Dr. Issac Mar Philexnos as Patron, Rev. Thomas George as Manager, Mrs. Mariamma Abraham
as the Headmistress, Mr. C. A. Mathai as convener and Mr. T. T. Titus as Finance Secretary.
Classes for
Pre-Nursery to class 1 were conducted in the initial stage. The School was under the Mar Thoma Gram
Jyoti Education and Development Society.
School started with generous contribution from members and the then managing committee
members and school staff.
During 2003-04 the School obtained permission to run classes up to V and also submitted documents
and received permission to run classes up to VII. This year the first batch of Vth. class students
appeared in the M. P. Board Exams. During 2004-05 we received permission to run classes up to VIII.
Computer classes were started during the year b2004-05.
We strive to be committed to the students we are privileged to serve, in our alumni association, our dedicated, talented faculty and staff. We also take pride in having the most active and helpful group of partners, visionary parents, well-wishers, alumni and friends.
